My Story

My Story

“I enrolled onto B&FC’s Access to HE (Nursing and Midwifery) programme in September 2014, which I successfully completed the following June. It meant I could then embark on an Adult Nursing Degree at UCLan.

I’ve now started a job on a general medical ward as a staff nurse - the end product of 4 years’ hard work! I can’t thank B&FC enough for the initial guidance I received, which helped me to go on to complete my nursing degree.”

How B&FC Helped Me

How B&FC helped me

“The Access to HE programme was a valuable start and made my first year at university so much easier. As a mature student it had been a long time since I had studied; the Access to HE programme helped me start writing academically and also sparked a love of science that I never knew I had!”

Why B&FC?

“The content of the course was highly relevant to my chosen career area and the support, guidance and encouragement I received from the staff ensured I got to where I am today.”

“I would highly recommend the Access to HE programme to anyone thinking of achieving a degree, no matter what your age!”
