Studied Interactive Media Development BSc (Hons) at B&FC • Graduated in 2016
After many years of job cuts in my previous position, I decided to get something under my belt to stand out from the crowd when applying for future roles. After completing numerous courses after school and a NVQ Level 2 and 3 I decided to make the step into higher education with a degree in Interactive Media Development. After 5 years I finally got my reward of a qualification and a new job role which wouldn’t have been possible without the degree.
The experience was one of the toughest journeys I have ever taken but also one of the most rewarding.
Creating a website for two clients has helped me understand a little about business and give me a push into what could be a possible start-up/part-time job in my spare time.
My Most Recent Role...
E-Commerce Product Development Manager - Appliance House
How B&FC Helped Me
- B&FC has small class sizes so I received 1-2-1 support from the tutor
- B&FC's tutors are supportive and understanding
- B&FC provides dedicated net labs, with industry standard equipment
- At B&FC the timetable is only one day and one evening a week so fits around your life and commitments
College life gave me the confidence to ask further questions, find answers for myself and believe that I can make a career even in my 30’s. I have learned to be more organised with tight deadlines and gained confidence through presentations, designing, coding and business planning.
After 5 years of studying a degree part time I finally got my reward of a qualification and a new job role which wouldn’t have been possible without the degree.
