Mental health and counselling support is more in demand than ever before.
Through a study that took place in the Netherlands when COVID-19 first took hold, The Lancet reported a greater perceived impact on mental health, fear, and poorer coping and that "people without depressive, anxiety, or obsessive-compulsive disorders showed a greater increase in symptoms during the pandemic."
The long-term effects of national lockdowns are yet to be fully understood. But mental health and our wellbeing is now considered a higher priority than ever before, and the number of careers supporting those in need will continue to grow.
Blackpool and The Fylde College offers a wide range of courses - both tutor-led and self-guided.
