Course Summary Students embarking on the HR consultant partner apprenticeship will study the CIPD L5 Associate Diploma in People Management alongside developing their knowledge, skills and behaviours linked to the apprenticeship standard. This CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management has replaced the CIPD Certificate/Diploma in Human Resource Management, with a renewed focus on HR and people management. ‘New CIPD qualifications are being introduced in 2021. Based on the new Profession Map, the qualifications focus on the knowledge and behaviours required to create value and make an impact in the changing world of work. The new qualifications set the standard for people professionals. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has over 150,000 members worldwide and is seen as the leading professional body in the field of HR, people management and development. CIPD membership and qualifications are highly valued and widely acknowledged to enhance career development and job prospects. We would expect applicants to have: A relevant level 3 qualification Applicants who are able to demonstrate substantial relevant work/life skills or knowledge will also be considered on an individual basis. All applicants must be in employment for the duration of the apprenticeship The CIPD has a policy for students where English is not their first language that gives guidance on appropriate English language . We also make use of Canvas (our virtual learning environment) to provide lecture notes, and supplementary video, audio and text materials. We use a variety of assessment methods to ensure all aspects of learning are assessed and to accommodate individual learning preferences. You will need to demonstrate study skills and use these to analyse information from a variety of sources. You will spend 7.5 hours a month in class (either on campus or online) and you will be expected to devote the same amount of time each week to independent study/and developing you knowledge, skills and behaviours within the workplace. Expert Tutors All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice. Assessment Methods Assessment is carried out through a combination of skills-based assignments, written assignments and a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record and plan. There is no written exam for this course. Other Costs and Equipment Needed It is an essential requirement of the course that you become a member of the CIPD professional body within the first 4 weeks of study.
