What will I learn? How will I be assessed? Key information Where could this course take me? Course Summary This course will introduce you to the creative potential of screen print, allowing you to produce your own designs from original hand-drawn and hand-painted images and from photographic work. It is suitable for both those with no previous experience and for students who already have some printing skills and are looking to extend their skills. You will learn both how to create limited edition prints and how to create mono-prints that are one-off originals, which cannot be repeated. In addition, you will discover how to mix inks to create opaque and semi-transparent colours and correct registration to layer images. Professional workshop practice, health and safety and how to use equipment will all be included in the course. The cost reflects the specialist inks, chemicals and papers required for printing that you will use to create your designs. Please note T-shirts and Tote bags are not included in the price and will need to be bought separately should you want to produce designs on these. Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements for this course apart from being 19+. All we ask is that you come with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Qualification Obtained There is no formal qualification associated with this course. Industry Placement and Field Trips N/A Learning and Teaching Methods This course is of a practical nature and you will learn through observation, demonstrations, group work and practical projects, sharing ideas, skills and opinions.
