Course Summary Supporting employee satisfaction and engagement by focusing on effective recruitment and personal development and wellbeing is a crucial part of business. On the Human Resources Support Level 3 apprenticeship you will learn the skills required to develop and maintain a happy and productive workforce by managing day-to-day HR queries and advice, and learning essential HR processes such as recruitment, employee relations and performance and reward management. Apprentices at this level gain a thorough grounding in the basics of HR and an understanding of HR principles. Work is likely to include handling day to day queries and providing HR advice, working on a range of HR processes; ranging from transactional to relatively complex, from recruitment through to retirement using HR systems to keep records, providing relevant HR information to the business, working with the business on HR changes. , Entry Requirements We will undertake an assessment and skills scan to make sure this qualification is right for you. It is preferable to have English and Maths GCSE Grade 4/C or above. Learners without Level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to completion of their apprenticeship. Learning and Teaching Methods Teaching and Learning Methods The programme is structured on a modular basis and each module is delivered using a range of techniques including; lectures, case studies and discussions. You will study six modules that cover the standards to achieve an apprenticeship in Human Resource Support: Developing Yourself as an Effective Human Resources - You will develop a sound understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviour required of a professional practitioner. Understanding Organisations and the role of Human Resources - You will understand human resources within an organisation and the environmental context. Recording, Analysing and Using Human Resources Information - The unit looks at a range of data that can be used in HR. Resourcing Talent - in this unit you will learn about the importance of effective recruitment and selection and understand how to consistently apply rules and regulations to this process. Supporting Good Practice in Managing Employment Relations - In this unit you will investigate the employment relationship and identify factors which can influence this. Delivering Learning and Development Activities - You will review the essential stages of preparing for and delivering an inclusive and effective leaders & diversity activity for a group of learners. Industry Placement and Field Trips There are no field trips on this course. Expert Tutors All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice. Assessment Methods 1-2-1 assessment and support to evidence the behaviours, skill and knowledge elements will take place in your workplace, at mutually convenient times and dates with your assessor. After working through the programme in close partnership with the employer and B&FC assessors/trainers the apprentice will complete the end-point assessment. Career Options and Progression This apprenticeship is suitable for a variety of HR roles including HR Administrator, HR Advisor and HR Officer. The programme forms the foundation of a career within the profession, giving the base for further development. The apprentice can choose to stay within core HR or diversify into one of the specialist areas of HR. Progression may also be available on to the HR Consultant/Partner Higher Apprenticeship. After completing this apprenticeship you may be eligible to apply for Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) membership at Associate level.
