Natural Gas Safety Training CAT 1
Course Code: CM1EC170
This training will enable gas engineers to gain more experience before an assessment or re-assessment. This is in preparation for ACS Gas CCN1 assessment.
For the initial assessment candidates must be experienced within the Mechanical Engineering Sector, working alongside a registered gas engineer and hold a relevant qualification. For re-assessment, candidates must already be accredited with (CNN1) Domestic Gas Safety.
Teaching and Learning Methods
At Blackpool and The Fylde College we recognise that all students learn differently and our tutors work with you to ensure that their teaching methods support the way that you like to learn.
This training consists of 14 hours per week classroom/workshop learning for your practical and underpinning knowledge, normally over 2 days per week.
One key teaching and learning method is that of demonstrations. Your tutors ensure that demonstrations are used whenever possible so you can see the practical skill being used so you can then practise the skill. Following demonstrations, you will then have hands on practical time where you will be implementing the skill learned.
