- You must be aged 19+ when the course starts in January
- You must be able to work hard and maintain high levels of attendance
- You should have a passion for motor vehicles and a keen interest in working in the automotive industry
There are no formal qualification entry requirements, but you should have reasonably good levels of English and maths skills.
Teaching and Learning Methods
You will be taught by tutors who have a wealth of industry experience and a passion for developing the next generation of technicians. Your tutors will get to know how you learn best and tailor their teaching methods to your needs.
There are weekly opportunities for you to discuss your progress with your Progress Tutor and you will be allocated a team manager to support you through every aspect of your learning and career development.
This course is mainly practical-based and is delivered in the following way:
- Workshop/Practical – 6 hours per week
- Classroom/Online – 6 hours per week
The environment is very supportive and includes regular target setting and reviews.

The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
