You will explore the areas of animal health, handling and welfare as well as the principles of animal behaviour to prepare you for working in this growing industry. Local field trips and a relevant work placement bring your subject to life and also allow you to develop your practical skills. Expert tutors offer lots of support, including dedicated GCSE classes as part of your one-year study programme. Afterwards, you could apply for our level 3 programme or begin your career straight away in animal care or management.

You will need GCSE Maths or English at grade 3 (previously grade D) and GCSE Science, also at grade 3.

All 16-18 year old applicants will be invited to attend an interview to meet a tutor and ask any questions they may have about the course.
