Course Overview

The Level 2 Award in Animal Care is designed to be a part of a yearlong science programme for all students when combined with L2 Principles of Science.

Alternatively, adults can choose to study this programme on its own.

These routes qualify you for the L3 Animal Science or Applied Science Diplomas, ready for you to become a scientist! The L2 route is perfect for those with a science career in mind and prepares you for a L3 diploma next year.

The Animal Care section focuses on animal behaviour, handling, management and welfare, using a range of practicals, lessons, field trips and guest speakers.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at Grade 3 (D) or higher, including Science, English and Maths.

All applicants will be invited to attend an interview to meet a tutor and find out more about this course and associated career opportunities.
