Welding and Fabrication Practice - Level 3
Course Code: ET1EC323
Next available course:
This course is an ideal progression from the Level 2 ABC course, or for candidates who are already reasonably competent welders, but wish to improve both their practical and theoretical knowledge further. The level 3 course takes the skills learnt in level 2, and progresses the learner into positional welding: on completion of the course the learner would be in a position to undertake higher skilled and higher paid welding positions.
The aim of the course is to enable learners to achieve the full ABC Level 3 Certificate in Welding and Fabrication Practice. The course is modular, each unit standing alone, emphasising practical skills.
This course is for trainees, graduates or those interested in learning how to weld and acquire new skills. It would also suit self-employed or employed workers considering a career change, or those looking to improve their existing welding skills.
Teaching and Learning Methods
Teaching is delivered by an instructor-led practical workshop and classroom-based theory.
The course is for 35 weeks and delivered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8.30pm. There will be additional self-led learning as guided by the tutors.
