Course Overview

This course is aimed at new users, those with an interest in parametric modelling, and those who want to gain a basic understanding of its use and application.

It will cover the basic features of Autodesk Inventor to create, modify and document parts and assemblies, and explore the typical composition of CAD Parametric Modelling system and Health and Safety matters that are associated with safe working practices.

Entry Requirements

Although no formal prior qualification is required, it is recommended that candidates are familiar with current Windows Operating Systems. A basic relevant design and/or design experience will be beneficial.

Teaching and Learning Methods

High quality instruction and guidance from instructors with more than 20 years' CAD experience and trained in an authorised Autodesk training centre.

Delivery will ensure students are equipped to develop a thorough understanding of key components used in parametric modelling systems; and be able to effectively use the key components used in parametric modelling systems in a professional setting.

Delivery is 3 hours per week for 12 weeks with classroom sessions which also includes interactive and practical sessions. Students will be expected to follow tutor guidance and support with regards to elements of the course requiring independent study.
