Course Overview

Love sewing and getting creative - or simply fancy a fulfilling, new hobby?

This course is for anyone interested in sewing and using creative techniques to transform garments and produce unique projects for the home.

If you've always wanted to upcycle and recycle your wardrobe or home furnishings, this is a great course to get the inspiration and learn the skills you need.

    Hand stitching and machine stitching will be used.

    Students will work at their own pace to get the most from this course.

    Entry Requirements

    Enthusiasm and a keen interest in sewing in order to create individual items for the home.

    Basic sewing skills would be an advantage - but not essential.

    This is a workshop-style session where techniques will be demonstrated and students will work on individual projects with specialist guidance and support from the tutor.

    Each term is 10 weeks in length, with each session lasting 2 hours.

    You may also need to do some project work in your own time.
