The Introduction to Sign Language course introduces learners to the principles of British Sign Language (BSL), from learning the basics to communicating in restaurants. You will also explore the importance of learning to sign in order to understand and communicate with deaf people. Whether you want to work with others, or you just want to know more for yourself, this course will cover a range of topics and provide multiple examples for assessment.
There are no special entry requirements for this course.
Teaching and Learning Methods
This is a classroom based class. There will be a mix of signed conversation, text book exercises and video learning.
