Course Overview
The course aims to provide you with the English skills needed when entering into employment, and for everyday life.
You will be provided with the knowledge, and have the opportunity to gain and develop skills in a number of areas.
Entry Requirements
The course is for people who;
- Do not speak English as a first language (EU and non EU nationals), and
- Who do not already hold a Level 2 English qualification.
You need to have a clear interest in improving your English and you must show commitment and be self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
Assessment Methods
Teaching and Learning Methods
This is a classroom based class and will be taught by qualified specialists.
The courses (6 hours a week) take place on different days / evenings throughout the week, depending on your level.
Most of our courses are classroom based at Seasiders Learning Centre, Blackpool but we can run classes in schools and other community settings.

All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
