Prepare for a career in the adult social care sector with this level 2 programme. With the focus on helping you to develop the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with adults in a social care setting, the programme will support you to gain relevant employment or progress to additional study at a higher level. Along with a range of practical skills, you will explore a range of strategies surrounding adult care, including communication, team work, risk management and behaviour management. Benefit from industry specialist tutors and a part-time programme format designed to fit around work and/or other commitments.

Teaching and Learning Methods
You will attend College for a 3-hour session each week during term time. These sessions include group activities and discussions, with 1-2-1 support also provided.
When you start the programme we will assign you a progress tutor, who will support you in collating your written evidence. You will also be able to access weekly workshop sessions for additional support.
Some independent study is also a requirement of this programme - your tutor will provide guidance on this.

All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
