This qualification (NCFE CACHE Level 1 Award in Stress Awareness) is delivered as a 1-day programme of study (9.30 – 3.30 pm) and is assessed through the completion of a workbook that is handed in on the day of the course.

This unit provides learners with the opportunity to understand what stress is, its causes and how it can affect people in various ways.
It will enable them to develop an understanding of the different types of stress and how to recognise when they are experiencing stress, that could have potentially harmful effects. They will explore a range of healthy strategies that can be used to prevent and reduce the effects of stress they encounter in their daily lives.
Learners will also gain an understanding of when and how they should seek specialist help if they are experiencing significant levels of stress.
The qualification is ideally suited to either those wishing to pursue a career in a health and social care environment or working with vulnerable families.
It is also suitable for those already working in a care industry who want to develop specialist knowledge in this area, either for enhanced employment opportunities or for additional training and development in their own role.

No previous training or experience is required for this programme but you must be at least 19.
