Course Overview

As we see an increasingly ageing population, the number of adults needing around-the-clock care is on the rise. As well as the need for medical care, there is also a need for high levels of personal care to allow those who need support to live as comfortably as possible.

On this course, you will learn about person-centred care in a wide range of settings, which will provide you with the knowledge required to understand how to work in a person-centred way. You will also learn about how to support personal hygiene, pressure area care, foot care, and how to help people maintain oral health. You will also get an introduction and awareness of sepsis and how this can affect people, and who it may affect. You will also learn to understand signs, symptoms, causes and treatments of sepsis

It is aimed at anyone working in a healthcare or social care environment, or those wishing to expand knowledge as they embark in a career within the sector.
