Course Overview

This Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills is for those who seek to progress to a qualified professional counsellor, or gain counselling skills as part of your current profession, for example teachers and nurses.

This course is three hours a week over thirty five weeks.

This qualification may aid progression to accredited counsellor status but is not a license to practice counselling.

Entry Requirements

To do this course, you will need a Level 2 Counselling qualification (having studying a minimum of 90 hours). You will also need to be able to undertake written and oral assessments at level 2.

You must be at least 19 and you must not be in a current state of severe emotional difficulty or severe psychological confusion, nor involved in substance misuse. 

You will need to complete an application form and give the names of two references.
