The Certificate in Education and Training is for anyone interested in training in the workplace or for a learning and development sector organisation.
It is also ideal for those that wish to perform a teaching or support role for young people aged 14 and over.
This course develops practical training and teaching skills and knowledge to plan and deliver education and training.
This programme is typically delivered in the evening over 30 weeks, for 3 hours per week.
This course is available to those aged 19 years and over, ideally with a Level 3 qualification in the subject to be taught.
A good understanding of ICT and a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths are also recommended.

Teaching and Learning Methods
Delivery is by presentations, workshops, student participation and observations.
The course is 3 hours a week over 30 weeks, delivered typically in the evening.
You will also be expected to study independently for at least 2 hours per week.

The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
