Course Code: TM1FE001
The Edexcel Level 2 Business prepares you for a variety of careers by equipping you with financial skills, organisational ability, marketing knowledge and the ability to present your ideas clearly. The principles of business underpin every shop, office, and organisation in the UK economy, meaning that you will have the skills and knowledge that will be valued by employers in every sector. In addition this course will also allow you the opportunity to progress to the level 3 Business courses.
4 GCSE's at grade D or above.
If you are a year 11 student applying for this programme, we will compare your GCSE results with the minimum target grades set for you by your school. This will help us decide whether this is your most suitable programme of study. Other students, including those from outside the area, will have an opportunity to discuss their qualifications and experience to make sure they too are studying at the right level. For some programmes, we might need to observe you carrying out certain practical tasks before we can make you an offer.
Teaching and Learning Methods
The knowledge and understanding for the units are taught in comfortable rooms using interactive technology to deliver the information. You will be guided carefully through each topic in a well-structured programme and assignments will be broken down into bite-size chunks to help you to achieve them. Tutors will also be available to give you assistance with your assignments through assignment workshops which form part of your timetable. In addition to the learning that takes place in the College, you will also be expected to take part in the programme of educational visits and speakers which will help you to apply your knowledge to 'real' organisations.
