Course Overview

Want to learn the basics of business while putting your new-found knowledge to the test in a variety of scenarios emulating real-world challenges in the world of enterprise?

This Level 3 course - equivalent to 2 A Levels - provides a broad foundation of business and firm basis for later specialism in finance and accounting.

It's a two-year, full-time programme running Monday to Friday with 16 to 18 hours per week in college (with additional independent study expected).

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs at grade C or above (excluding English Language and/or Maths) OR a First Diploma (pass grade) OR relevant work experience.

If you already have at least five GCSEs including English and Maths, please apply for the Business Management - Level 3 course.

All 16-18 year old applicants will be invited to attend an interview to meet a tutor and ask any questions they may have about the course.

Essential Skills – English and Maths

If you achieve a grade 3 in GCSE Maths or English you will have to work towards re-sitting these subjects as part of your main study programme. At B&FC, this won’t delay your career journey because you’re working towards these subjects at the same time as your chosen subject.

This course includes up to 18 hours per week in college and at least two hours' independent study.

The course is taught in comfortable rooms using interactive technology. You'll be guided carefully through each topic with a well-structured programme.

Assignments will be broken down into bite-size chunks to help you to achieve them.

Tutors will also be available to help with your assignments through dedicated workshops on your timetable.

Guest speakers will help you to apply your knowledge to 'real' organisations.

You will also be expected to take part in the programme of educational visits.
