Gain an insight into fashion design with this exciting and hands-on course. This is a unique opportunity to enter the world of the fashion designer and discover how the fashion design process works. Based in our industry-standard studio, you will learn how to research and refine design ideas, create mood boards and master basic fashion drawing techniques. Our team of fashion experts will encourage you to work in a creative and experimental way to create a small portfolio. This 7-week course is one of a series of short fashion courses that could lead to further study and even a change of career.
You don't need any previous experience to do this course - you just need an interest in fashion design and a desire to learn.
Teaching and Learning Methods
This 7-week course starts on 24 January and runs on Wednesdays from 6.30 to 8.30pm.
Teaching and learning is mostly through demonstrations, which will be followed by practical tasks and the production of design boards and illustrations.
We will also expect you to complete tasks in your own time outside of class.

All staff involved in the delivery of adult education courses within the College are approved to teach the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified and, where appropriate, possess relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
