Course Overview

This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working with adults in health and social care environments. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures.

It has three pathways:

Generic Health and Social Care
 Learning Disability

Entry Requirements

You must be at least 16 years of age in order to be employed as an apprentice in Health and Social Care.  You may be required to complete a DBS check as you are working with vulnerable people.  You will be expected to achieve a level 1 functional skill in Maths and English as part of the apprenticeship.

Expert Tutors

All staff involved in the delivery of apprenticeships within the College are approved to train and support the students in the subjects and modules they deliver. The approval process ensures that staff delivering a given programme are appropriately qualified, with relevant technical and industrial experience and professional practice.
