Competition Activity

Barbering

Worksheet Riddor

This is an independent research task to be carried out by future hairdressing and barbering students before enrolling on their courses in September.

Fire Safety

This is a worksheet looking at different types of fire extinguishers and when they should or should not be used. This will require some independent research, and is vital for working in a salon.

Conditions Scalp Skin

This is a worksheet looking at conditions of the scalp and skin, that are important to be aware of when barbering and hairdressing. This will require independent research.

Basic Skin Structure  

This worksheet includes some basic information about skin structures, and a diagram for students to label. You will also have to carry out some of your own research.

This worksheet is a quick task in measuring colours, where students are required to draw a line at a certain measurement. This is a simple preparation task.

Measuring Liquids

This worksheet is a quick task in measuring liquids which will be an essential skill on this course. This task shouldn't take very long.

Working in a team intro

This is a worksheet for all hairdressing and barbering students to fill in, looking at the benefits of working in a team and techniques to working together successfully.

Working in a team exit task

This worksheet is to be completed after the intro worksheet. Students need to list advantages and disadvantages to working in a team in a salon context.

This document includes an overview of the different nail shapes and lengths used in manicure treatments. Students are then required to draw each of the shapes.
