Vogue cover pride for B&FC alumnus

Craig McDean's beautiful Lake District image was shot while he studied at Blackpool School of Arts.

Blackpool School of Arts' Craig McDean told Vogue that Cumbria was a big hit with him both as a boy when he would visit the beautiful rolling hills with his mum and dad - and later, as a college student, when he'd return there with a friend and stay over in one of the area's B&Bs.

It was during his college days he would shoot the photo that was chosen by Vogue editors to reflect the theme of 'reset', which features prominently throughout the August 2020 issue of this iconic fashion magazine.

B&FC is no stranger to fashion. It offers a wide range of courses and late last year welcomed Farrah Storr, editor of Elle UK, to discuss how to break into fashion journalism. Winners of a competition to experience life at Elle UK later travelled to London and joined Farrah on the style beat.
