Blackpool and The Fylde College is now recognised among the UK's top 20 apprenticeship training providers.

Last year B&FC was 37th in RateMyApprenticeship’s league of providers.

And now it has been announced the College is in 19th place.

Rankings are assigned based on reviews by students completing apprenticeships in the last year.

B&FC offers apprenticeships at levels 3 to 7 - from advanced to degree.

The college also provides young people with pre-apprenticeship opportunities.

Sarah Hall, head of business development for B&FC, said: "The determined and committed team here at B&FC has continually supported apprentices and employers to achieve and grow - even in the most challenging of times.

"We're delighted that apprentices have shown appreciation for all that we do and we'll continue to provide them and their employers with first-class guidance and training as we all start to get back to a state of normality beyond the pandemic.

"Apprenticeships are among the best ways for businesses to bounce back - for the long-term.

"While apprentices benefit greatly from these study programmes - those completing advanced apprenticeships typically earn between £77,000 and £117,000 more over their lifetime than those with other Level 2 qualifications - employers also gain immensely through increased motivation, loyalty and productivity."
