Teaching Assistance and Learning Support
The education sector is rewarding and enriching for those who love helping children to thrive and achieve their potential.
If you're yet to begin working in a school you might consider the role of teaching assistant (or classroom assistant). In this capacity you will work alongside teachers supervising activities and working with children in small groups or as a class.
Other teaching assistants work on a one-to-one basis helping youngsters with special educational needs.
Once you're working in the teaching and learning sector - either in a voluntary or paid capacity - you can continue your studies with us by specialising in learning support.
Our foundation degree in Teaching and Learning Support is a two-year course when you will develop a sound understanding of the principles underpinning the role of professionals within education and learn different approaches to solving problems at work.
