Teaching and Learning Methods
Our expert tutors understand that everyone learns in different ways so they use a range of teaching methods to enable everyone to achieve their potential.
They use demonstrations whenever possible to provide a solid understanding of practical skills and to enable you to then practise the skill yourself. In addition, you will work collaboratively with your peers, undertaking group work, presentations and practical sessions.
The course consists of 4 hours' class-based time a week. This incorporates periods of self-study and there is the expectation that you will devote at least 1.5 hours a week to independent study.
E-learning is a key element of all our courses and we also use a range of on-line apps to support, enhance and motivate learning. Your tutors will support you with these technologies and also in preparing for examinations.
