Student case study

After a colleague recommended B&FC, Brittany signed up to study Human Resource Practice - Level 3 (CIPD) and secured a promotion!

"I chose Blackpool and The Fylde College as I had heard nothing but good things. My tutors were amazing, giving me detailed feedback on my written work, allowing me to focus on areas for improvement and take pride in my accomplisments. The college is local to me and the timetable fit in perfectly with my working hours. It was a no brainer!

I've just moved to a new company and I am now an Experience & Wellbeing Advisor, a role that wouldn't have been possible without this qualification."

    About Online Courses

Student case study

Inspired by her daughter, who had just completed a Master's, Shirley decided to start fresh and come back to education at B&FC.

After completing her GCSEs, she enrolled onto an Access to HE course in Social Sciences. Shirley praises her tutors, who were there for her throughout her academic journey and the smaller class sizes, which meat she received more one-to-one support than if she went elsewhere.

Have passed her Access to HE course with flying colours, Shirley went on to complete a BA(Hons) degree in Youth Studies, winning Higher Education Student of the Year 2022 and volunteering with the LGBT community along the way.

Shirley dreams of working with children and young people in minority groups; a career that no longer needs to remain a dream, thanks to her Access to HE course with B&FC which kick-started her passion for learning.
