Can I apply to start in Year 2?

Evidence of prior study must be provided so we can check if you have covered sufficient academic material equivalent to the content of Year 1 of the Lancaster University degree. A conversation may also be required with the curriculum team.

 

Can I apply to the Top Up?

We can only accept applications from those that have completed a Lancaster University validated foundation degree with Blackpool and The Fylde College.

 

When should I apply for funding?

It is advised that you make your application for student finance before the end of May to ensure it will be processed by the start of your course. Returning learners are encouraged to re-apply by mid-June.

 

Who confirms my place with the Student Loans Company?

B&FC will do this for you following your enrolment and attendance at your first session. If you have any issues regarding your confirmation of studies:

What are B&FC’s UCAS Codes when making a UCAS application?

Our Institution Code is B41 and the UCAS Course Code (4 digits) can be found on the course page on the website. Campus Code is either U for University Centre or blank if Bispham.

 

Will I be entitled to any financial support whilst studying?

There are a number of financial incentives that may be accessible to you and information on these can be found in the Fees and Funding section.

 

What are UCAS Tariff points?

The UCAS Tariff is used to allocate points to level 3 qualifications eg. A levels, National Diplomas etc. Universities and colleges use it when making offers to applicants.

 

How long can I defer my place?

You can delay your entry to higher education by one year providing you have met all the entry requirements by 31 August.

 

Do I need to attend an interview?

Yes. All applicants to Blackpool School of Arts will be invited to attend an audition/workshop to progress their application. Applicants to all other courses are expected to complete an Information, Advice and Guidance session with the relevant curriculum team.

 

Can I change the course I’ve applied for?

Yes, you can do this at any time prior to enrolment, provided you meet the entry requirements, even if you've accepted your offer.
